What are you doing May 16 and 17? If you’re in the area, I invite you to come on down and hang out with me at the Gold Coast Book Fair. It’s Long Island, New York’s largest literary event, and I’ve been invited to be part of the Indie Author Spotlight! I’ll be there from 1:30pm-5pm both days:
- Selling books (self-explanatory)
- Signing books (Free, and you know what? Bring any book. The Great Gatsby. War and Peace. East of Eden. I’ll sign anything.)
- Giving away books if you sign up for my email (Okay, clearly you’ve already done that, but sign up someone else – even against their wishes or without them knowing – and I’ll give you a free book)
- Giving away swag! Yeah. It’s the History Repair Technician Mission Patch I’ve been trying to unload after ordering so many I can’t even open my office closet. But now it’s wrapped up in shiny plastic with a cool info/instruction card – so it has, uh, more value? Anyway, Just like Theo Hoover, the main character from my latest novel Sunnyside, you too can become a History Repair Technician in the year 2824! (Well, not really, but you can pretend!) Iron this superior-quality embroidered patch onto your uniform (okay, maybe not, how about a hat or a denim jacket?) and “Correct the Past… Protect the Future.”
